
From 30th April 2012, as a result of funding cuts from the Scottish Government, the Directors of Association of Scottish Community Councils have been required to close down the charity, and therefore its services to Community Councils, Community Councillors, the general public, Local Authorities and other agencies.
Section 1003 of the Companies Act 2006 Part 31( Dissolution and restoration to the register), (Sections 1000-1034) of the Companies Act 2006 will come into force on 1st August 2012.
Consent to dissolve the Charity under section 16(2)(c) of the Charities and Trustees Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 was approved by OSCR on 28th March 2012.
All enquiries in relation to Support, Advice, and Training for Community Councils should be directed to the relevant local authority or the Scottish Government.
