Document Templates
Templates for documents commonly used by Community Councils are provided to make organising your CC simpler and more efficient.
ASCC templates are very easy to use. You can add or subtract the elements in each template, and move them around within the document. The template (a .dot file) remains each time because when you open it and make changes, your computer will prompt you to save the changes as an ordinary MS Word .doc file.
Each box or table in a template can be moved, or deleted if you don’t need it. Just hover the mouse cursor over the top left of the box and you will see a little graphic appear that looks like arrows pointing in four directions. To move the box, click and hold on the arrows and move the box to where you want in the document, to make other changes to that box right click while the cursor is over the arrows and you will get a menu of choices.
Play around and experiment with the templates to get the most from them. Are there other templates you would like to have available? Let us know and we’ll provide it.
